The EMRC Wins Prestigious Award at the 2024 Waste Sorted Awards

The Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council (EMRC) is proud to announce that it has been awarded the 2024 Local Government / Regional Council winner for Waste Management Initiatives at the Waste Authority’s Waste Sorted 2024 Awards gala dinner.

This esteemed recognition by the WA state government’s Waste Authority highlights the EMRC’s unwavering commitment to sustainability and its comprehensive strategy to demonstrate Circular Economy leadership, minimise environmental impact, and create value for the communities it serves.

Councillor Bowman expressed his pride in the team’s achievement, stating, ‘This award is a testament to our dedication to creating a sustainable future for our community through innovative waste management practices.’

The EMRC CEO Marcus Geisler added, 'The EMRC’s sustainability strategy is not just a plan but a reflection of the organisation’s culture and values.
